Books!

14-12-2009 at 22:29

I recently spent a fair amount of money on a load of art books. Books about chiaroscuro shading, and how to create light and volume in artwork. Books on anatomy drawing, on digital painting techniques and approaches.
And I just selected a load more that I think I will probably get in the new year if I have any more success.

I really love books. They are one of the greatest things us humans have ever created.

I highly recommend everyone goes out there and buys more books smile

Also everyone should check out these two people :

and

as their work is amazing

Website troubleshooting

10-12-2009 at 11:06

Ok, so I finally realised that I was getting no comments since I messed with comment approval settings - for some reason I’ve not been getting email notification of comments, so I think I’ve now sorted it…. we shall see.
Anyway, comments have been approved. My apologies for the long delay

I can’t really comment on this artwork yet as it may not be approved. But I’m dead proud of how it’s turned out so I wanted to share it.

Pricing Transparency Part 2

27-11-2009 at 15:32

I’ve changed my mind about my pricing transparency policy. I’ve made a conscious decision to no longer include a break down of my pricing structure as it opens it up for debate and makes me look like a discount designer. I value my time, experience and profession. If you’re serious about working with me on a project I’d love to hear from you =)

I hope everyone out there is having a shiny happy friday!

Telegraphs

25-11-2009 at 23:49

I just finished a myspace design for one of my favourite bands around:

Go and listen now if you have a spare minute. Their music is great and they are some of the nicest bunch of chaps. They’ve got the proper DIY punk ethic about what they’re doing, hard working and they totally deserve success and all that.
